Boilermaker Course Director & Burth’s Garage Water Station Captain

Jim is the Boilermaker’s 2007 Coach DeStefano Volunteer Award recipient.
Jim ran the Boilermaker course for 16 years and he’s been a volunteer for 22. He started volunteering by stuffing goody bags, and 7 years ago became Course Director.

When asked why he does it…he said, “I’ve always loved the sport of running…this is a good way to get involved and stay involved. It’s very rewarding. And I get to give back to two things that I really care about…the sport and the community.”
